Monitor / Evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation of medication management incorporates:
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting therapeutic effects of medicines through processes.
- Feedback and comment to and from residents, family and other health professionals.
- Monitoring for, recognition of and appropriate response to adverse effects.
- Monitoring, recording and reporting of adverse drug events.
Knowledge
Demonstrate understanding of:
- pharmacology (reflected in level of education)
- application of knowledge, and
- decision making.
Skills
Demonstrate ability to:
- undertake a clinical exam and record findings
- monitor and appropriately manage (including reporting) the outcomes (including side effects) of medicines, and
- investigate, manage and report medication incidents.
